Romania?

Does anyone feel like having a pre-meeting in Romania ? I mean, if there are plenty of hitchhikers we could arrange something, I myself will be hitchhiking from Bulgaria towards Romania, will stay a couple of days in Vama Veche and Bucarest and then I will be as free as bird, so we could arrange something. Good idea, isn't it ? Let me know Romanians and all the fellow hitchhikers who will be in nearby !

1. pre-meting Romania

I thought about taking a route that is leading thourgh Romania, coming from Serbia. I'll be somewhere in the country during the days before 7-8-9. If there will be a pre-meeting I definitely try to get there.

2. Departure from Romania

Hey there!

I'm currently in Romania, in a small village near Rimnicu-Valcea and I'll probably stay here or in that area until I'll leave for Odesa.
I definitly would enjoy to travel from here with a partner, since I'm on my own since I left France in the end of June.
I found a lift to reach Bucuresti when I'd like to, so we could meet there.
Anyway, I've no idea about how to reach Ukraine from here? Any roads that would cross the Danube delta without crossing Moldavia? What are the border controls like? Where can I find the less controled road? My passeport is ok until November only, I know that a lot of country ask for at least 6 months of validity...

Here is my mail : pad.hugo at gmail.com.

Hope to hear about you soon!

3. Departure from Romania - how to reach Ukraine

IMHO, the best way - Galati (Romania) - Giurgiulesti (Moldova, transit) - Reni (Ukraine) - Odessa.

5. Moldova transit

After a call to the embassy in Chisinau, without passeport, even a transit permission would be hard to get for me.
It could be ok then, but I won't take the risk, so I'll go around Moldova by North - about 1100km from Bucuresti , I'll leave in 2 days and will probably be in Odesa early in the 7th.
See you there!

6. RE Moldova transit

how are you planning to enter the Ukraine without passport?

7. Entering UIkraine

I've got anID and a passeport valid for 3 months, this is enought to enter Ukraine, they just ask for an ID and some papers to sign if you stay less than 3 months. I'm 50km from theNorth border right now anyway, will be sure about it tomorrow morning aha
