Location for 789

So far we only know we're going to meet up in Odessa. We don't know where yet, and how but that's only part of the fun. Last year in Paris we gathered in front of the Eiffel Tower and stayed camping there. Other people had organised their own host in that city. Feel free to give ideas/ location-tips of where we could meet up.

I'm down for the Potemkin Stairs, quite central, could meet at the statue on top of it. Only problem is a place to stay/sleep for people who want to do camping with their tents...any camping site nearby the city?

Oh, and anybody in for some exploring of the catacombs at night ;) ?

I'm in for the catacombs, good idea !
For the Potemkin Stairs, that appear to be a good site. Their are some beaches where we can easily camp, in the east (but that's only a gmap tracking). The city is surounded by fields and lakes, so i think it won't be hard to find a place to sleep.

Don't know if that enter in this topic but is their any french hitchhiker knowing places to sleep in the road from France to Odessa ?
