Enschede, the Netherlands

Hey,

as we're already three people from Enschede, let's organize a pre-meeting there!

On 26/27 June I eventually start my trip east towards Russia, which will end in Odessa on 7/8/9 :)

So, maybe we could have a first early pre-meeting to start the hitchhiking season/trips/whatever to Odessa? 24th of June would be fine for me. Anyone interested?

Where: Campus University of Twente, Enschede, the Netherlands
Location: Vestingbar, inside Building "Bastille" on the Campus
Time: 20.30h (bar opens 20:30h!, not earlier)

Accomodation: Have a look at Couchsurfing/BeWelcome; we have plenty of active members here! Also bring your host to the meeting :-)

Hitchhiking: Check the A1 (Netherlands), Oldenzaal, Hengelo and Enschede articles at hitchwiki.org
Bus: Bus #1 to "Universiteit" from the center, get out at "UT/Bastille"

Joining the premeeting (very very probable). Maybe it's a good idea to put the meeting on Couchsurfing (and or HH group). Anyway looking forward to a party in Enschede and Hitchhiking to it. (Looserway back by train because there is work to do the next morning)*

I would love to join the meeting in Enschede, but at that time I am still in Norway, so that's a bit too early for me. But at least it is a start to have a meeting in Enschede. Hopefully there will be more people joining here in Enschede.

Having a pre-meeting is a very good idea. Enschede is also pretty central and, Ralf, there is quite some space for hosting right? (tents?) Sounds like a good option as a location.

The 24th also works fine for me - I plan to be in Latvia for the hitchhiking event on the 26-28th so I could also get there by the 26th/27th actually...

Jep, we could do the meeting near the University, there it's possible to put up tents in a nice environment. But also we have plenty of Couchsurfers here, so that shouldn't be the problem :-)

We could do it in the Vestingbar on campus, it's pretty cheap for drinks and on Wednesdays mostly not overcrowded, especially because it's exam-week then.

Should set up a seperate meetings-page asap...
